ABOUT ASPIRA of the Mid Atlantic

Who We Are

We are seasoned educators and professionals in fields related to our mission, parents, and community leaders. We are an affiliate of the national ASPIRA Association, whose achievements over the past 60 years are summarized at aspira.org. Recipients of our services benefit from our access to ASPIRA’s time-tested materials and technical assistance. Still staying true to our roots in reducing dropout rates, we have evolved to focus on the key functions of schooling—instruction, guidance, and administration/governance—while actively engaging and working with parents and the community to support student success.

Our History

Incorporated in North Carolina in 2023, ASPIRA of the Mid-Atlantic serves both North and South Carolina as an affiliate of the ASPIRA Association, with over 60 years of service in education across multiple states and Puerto Rico. The ASPIRA Association began as an Hispanic organization with Puerto Rican roots that is now recognized for having established a proven track record in seven states and Puerto Rico. It specifically targeted educational support and leadership development for Hispanic and other youth.

The ways in which ASPIRA of the Mid-Atlantic honors that legacy is spelled out in our answers to frequently asked questions .
