The ASPIRA Vaccine Uptake Initiative aimed to reduce vaccination stigma and equip families with the necessary resources to receive influenza and COVID-19 vaccines. Participants who qualified were assisted with scheduling appointments, provided transportation to vaccination sites, and given a $25 gift card while supplies lasted. ASPIRA Mid-Atlantic was committed to the notion that healthier communities led to better school attendance and, consequently, greater educational achievement.
The COVID-19 and Influenza Vaccine Uptake Initiative for Older Adults and People with Disabilities was a partnership among the ASPIRA Association, the National Council on Aging, the Administration for Community Living, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and some of the nation’s leading organizations representing the populations hardest hit by COVID-19 and Influenza. This program was made possible through funding from the U.S. Administration for Community Living (ACL).
